Posted on 3rd Dec 2013 @ 6:13 PM

Ed Sheeran LX1E from MArtin Guitar

The Martin Ed Sheeran Custom LX1E Acoustic Electric Guitar with Gig Bag

What happens when you take one the world's most respected guitar companies and mix it with one of the world's most popular contemporary musicians? The much anticipated LX1E Ed Sheeran Signature Model acoustic electric guitar. Our first shipment of this limited edition guitar has arrived from the Martin Guitar Company just in time for the holidays.
They arrived already setup right out of the box and include a high quality Martin guitar backpack gig bag. The signature cross emblems denote the fact that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this guitar will benefit the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (www.each.org.uk).
Our initial play testing of this is extremely encouraging...this is a serious musical instrument with good looks to match. The sound is full and complex as with other Martin guitars and the size and weight make it the perfect go to instrument for travel, practice or just convenience. The non-glossy finish resists scratches and fingerprints so your Martin Custom LKX1E should look great for years to come. Fishman Isys T electronics and  SP Lifespan Martin strings round out the instrument and the included gig bag makes carrying this little gem a breeze.
Buy one now while they are available here.

Transfer of Bob Moog Archives Leads to Controversy

So...Bob Moog's widow apparently reneged on an agreement with Moog's daugher Michelle Moog-Koussa to officially transfer ownership of Dr. Bob's archives to The Bob Moog Foundation, a non-profit organization that has been collecting and restoring the archives for over 7 years. The archives are slated to be transferred to Cornell University where Dr.Moog received his engineering degree about the same time the Moog synthersizer was being demonstrated at the AES.
Ms. Moog-Koussa who is the founder of the Boob Moog Foundation had this to say: "The Moog Family is saddened and surprised not to be part of the discussion to move our father’s archives away from the organization where they would receive the most well-rounded care, and away from the area where the Bob Moog Foundation, Moog Music, and Moogfest are located."
